Lots and lots of apples...Apple pie, anyone? The last two evenings, right at dusk, I've been bravely going back to the jungle at the back of the yard to pick bags and bags of apples from the two apple trees. During the day, the trees are guarded by yellow hornets the size of B-52 bombers, which also love the apples! But thankfully, I haven't encountered any bees if I wait till dusk for the apple picking. These three bags are going to my Mom-in-law's house tomorrow so she can make some homemade apple butter and pies, yummm!!
It seems the deer are enjoying the apples too because I saw one running along the fence back there the other day!

That is a lot of apples! Glad the bees flee for your picking times.
I of course LOVE the sparkly glitter on your moons! Moon Shine! Tee Hee.
Oh the apples look good, I'm glad you've managed to avoid the bees. Sparkly moon is ver cool, too.
Simply beautiful! You truly captured the giving of summer to autumn in this piece. I'm hungry for an apple now...
Your apples look delish! Don't wear perfume when you go to the back for the apples. Bees LOVE perfume.
I love your cute little aceos. Puts me in the mood for winter already.
Hehe Moon shine is a good description Lynn! Thanks so much and I'm sending youall some apples if I can avoid the bees.
Thanks Jeannette, I've been enjoying the apples.
Hi get zapped, I would love to share some apples with you, they're a little tart but so good with some salt sprinked on.
Hi and thanks Kate, those bees are so scary, they were chasing my husband and trying to sting the riding lawnmower yesterday! I don't wear perfume, those are just some mean bees lol!
I accidentally removed a post and I don't know whose comment it was, sorry!
I spend many many days cutting up apples just like those from our apple trees for baking desserts when I was growing up. Homemade apple pie is the best.
Last night I stood outside viewing the moon and stars in the clear dark sky. Sparkling!
(Love the tree pic below this post too!) What variety of apples are these? You're lucky to have them!
We used to have 7 apple trees (Wealthy variety)in our yard when I was growing up!

Heey Chewy, dontcha love looking at the moon, it's a big full one tonight, so pretty!
Hi MOI, I don't even know what kind of trees those are, they were here when we moved here 16 years ago. They were loaded with apples this year. Wow you had 7 trees, I bet your family had some great desserts, that's a lot of apples!
