A couple of ACEOs and a poplar tree leaf mandala ~ I had already finished these two aceos with the purple tress (or so I had thought) but they were lacking something...some pumpkins! These are titled 'Purple Night Pumpkin Patch I & II. I think naming art is a big part of the fun and creativity for me. Look what I found out in the backyard today. These poplar tree leaves were on the ground and had a mixture of the prettiest colors so I couldn't resist picking them up. I arranged them into a poplar leaf mandala on the stone bench and added some fossil rocks and a passion flower. One of the rocks reminded me of an alien's head, especially with those eyes. I hope everyone had a great weekend!

The purple and orange is always such a nice combo. Finished these trees to a 't'!
Aren't those leaves great, perfect mandala!

Ooo, Lynnie, those leaves are gorgeous! I love the mandala effect with the little flower in the middle.
Your fossil rocks are very interesting.
And yes, those trees definately needed pumpkins. Perfect!

Leaves are turning already down there? I have noticed some changes up here already.

Thanks Babs, I think I finished those aceos finally and I had fun with the leaves.

Hi Kate, thanks so much. Those are some of the rocks I picked up when we went to Kentucky. I love to look at the fossils and shapes of them.

Hey Janet, only a few of the leaves had changed and I saw them laying under the tree. I guess it's only the beginning though since September is right around the corner.
