I got a free sample of yupo paper in the mail and the first time I used it I was really surprised how slick and smooth it is. It's a different experience trying to paint on it and I got a little frustrated the first time I painted on it. I got out one last night I had started several months ago and now it's starting to look more interesting. I hope to finish it tonight so I can post it in here. Here's another version of the digital painting I made, "Inspirations".

Neat paintings! How do you digitally paint? I really like these - you're very talented.

Hello Shyviolet and thank you so much for your very nice comment. I discovered doing digital art mostly using the freeware version of a software program called Dogwaffle. You can download it at www.squirreldome.com. Fantastic program for doing art on the computer and it's totally free with no adware. There are many brushes and colors and techniques to use in there. Thanks again :) :)

Thanks so much for the compliments/encouragement! I sell my work on my website at www.shyviolet.net. My husband and I just finished putting up quite a few new pieces and hopefully will get up some more before school starts - we're both in grad school, so my web maintenance tends to decline as the semester progresses! I'm so impressed with your digital paintings, they're really amazing. I've never been able to draw/paint/whatever on paper, canvas, or a computer, so I am in awe of anyone with this talent!

Thanks so much for your nice comment Lori. I may try doing this one in traditional acrylics on stretched canvas. This was one of my favorite digital works. You're very welcome, I enjoyed visiting your blog, you do such beautiful work.
