FIREFLY SUMMER NIGHT TREE ~ This is an original surreal ACEO (3 1/2 X 2 1/2 inches). It is painted (heavily textured) with acrylics on 140 lb. watercolor paper and is signed LC in the lower right corner. This depicts a a fantasy of a warm summer evening night. The nocturnal creatures are just awakening and the fireflies are decorating the trees like little jewels! I just listed this one on e-bay today. ugh, the wind has been blowing all day and it's getting colder and colder here so it was fun to think of summer when I did this one!

this is magical and yes nice to view and imagine as the weather gets colder. Even the dog isn't wanting to be outside too long, freezes his little paws.

I really like this one. It reminds me of an outside summer party, with lights on the trees. :) Beautiful. I'm very into art to, but can' nearly paint as well.

It's supposed to feel like 10 degrees here tonight, brrrr! Thanks JB and Ali, for the nice comments. Ali I would love to see some of your paintings!

Your trees are definitely a hit. But your descriptions of them are as vivid as well. I could see the descriptions being included in the art work somehow. Like if you made prints, write the description around the edge -- something. Or even written in the sky.

Janet that's a great idea, thanks! I could even write it in on the back with pencil on the original. I like the idea of it going around the border with a white edge for prints. I don't think of the description till after I make the painting.

This looks so neat! Almost like stained glass!
