FALL FEELING I and II ~ Missing in action: My muse who has deserted me the last month. I did paint these 2 little ACEO size paintings a couple of weeks ago. They are both acrylics on watercolor paper (2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches) and the originals are available at my Artbyus. I do have something planned in the near future though, which is very exciting! The garage we own is 2 stories but the upstairs has never been finished. The floor is missing on both edges of the room plus the stairs going up there are very steep. I'm going to finish the floors and walls up there, have new steps put in with some kind of portable oil heater and a window AC. Sooo I will have a new studio and room for all my art stuff. There are even two bubble skylights up there. I am going to give paintings in oils a try too. I can always open the windows so the smell won't be a problem. Ahh, I can't wait!!! I've been itching to try oil painting!

Now, that's good news, Lynette! A studio!

Will you have to insulate your space? And, think about shopping for an appropriate air filter if you're working with oils -- you don't want to end up with my lungs! Don't forget to post pics when your studio is finished!

Love the fiery, autumn trees, and I'm glad to see you're back at work. Looks like your muse is just resting up, a bit.

Congratulations on finding new studio space! I also have a heating issue but have found an electric solution that my contractor says is economical to use. I'm skeptical though.

I love autumn - it's my favorite time of the year and you've captured the colors beautifully!

The paintings feel like fall also.

Maybe we should have a race to finish our garage attics?! Tho my husband is probably facing some neck surgery in the near future. It will be my project I am sure.

Thanks W.J. heck right now I'm just in the dreaming stage with finishing the upstairs of the garage into a studio and yep I'll make sure there's plenty of fresh air coming through when I try the oils. My lungs aren't in very good shape either, eek! :(
Thanks so much Marsha, I love painting the little ones!
Thanks Cyn and OMG I'm so looking forward to autumn, ahh it's almost here! I hope you get the heating fixed OK before the cold sets in!
Aww thank you Babs and you can bet that I'll take plenty of pics!
Janet what kind of surgery is he facing, I'm so sorry and I hope it goes well! Yikes, I'm scared of docs. LOL a race sounds fun with the garage attics!
Hi Flo, hope all is going well with you and thanks so much, I'm looking forward to having a real space for my art, it's taking over the room in my house!

Hi Lynnette/

A couple of bulging discs and calcium deposits. Sees an orthopedic surgeon later this week to find out his options.

We got 1/4 of the subfloor down in the attic. Sometime this week I will move the "junk" over to that area so we can get the subfloor in area where the junk is done. The temps are sooooo much nicer this weekend. Not quite a sauna up there!

Yes, I can tell fall is coming and you'll love it. Great about the studio! Sounds cosy, that word, and I'm sure you'll make it so.
