'Christmas Tree Ridge' ~ ACEO in acrylics and crystal glitter

'Bird of Prey' ~ 6x6 inches acrylics on stretched canvas
This is two paintings that I finished this week. We've had 2 new birds visit our backyard recently and I combined them in 'Bird of Prey'. Lots of different birds visit the 3 feeders out there, but the hawk and red-winged blackbird are new ones. The hawk has been eyeing the brush pile out in the backyard almost every evening. We suspect that a rabbit had made her nest in there because she would run across the yard when my husband would mow the yard in late summer. I went out on the deck to chase the hawk away since I don't want him making a meal out of the bunnies but he is pretty big so I don't plan on getting too close to him! Run, bunnies, run when you leave the nest!!

Awww thanks Babs and LOL if that bird comes my way, I'm running in the back door! I didn't see him today. Woohoo, gotta start the cooking for Thanksgiving tomorrow. Man, talk about a mess in the kitchen to clean though!

Aw, I watched a Christmas movie tonight -- with snowing in it. I think I prefer to look at snow that be in it.

Lovely pieces.

Babs, it's so darn wonderful to be able to just stay home and paint and cook and not set the alarm in the middle of the night to go to work!! Color me thankful too! :D So far I'm loving it! After some googling, I'm pretty sure our hawk is a young red-winged hawk.
Thank you MOI, I love Christmas lights too and I can't to decorate!
Hi Angela, thanks so much!!
Janet I love those old Christmas movies and I'm wishing we could get some snow here. We haven't had much the last few years.
