Snowy Mountain Christmas ~ I just finished this one today and it's 5 x 7 inches acrylics and crystal glitter on 140 lb. watercolor paper and...heellp, I'm going to have to go to glitter anonymous because I can't stop putting this sparkly stuff in my paintings!! It's so pretty though. I took out the Halloween painting and put this one in the frame to hang behind the Christmas tree, which I decorated tonight.

Glitter is fun.

I think you are longing for some snow...are you getting any down there today? It is nice and white here in No. Va. This latest painting is lovely and will look wonderful by your beautiful tree!

The sparing use of your glitter really makes your paintings come alive...and you have to go with what feels right to you, don't you think?

Lovely Work and Happy Holidays.

oh I just used some sparkle on my sketchbook painting of a robin. I JUST LOVE it. I agree with the sparing use on the painting adds just enough sparkle to an already lovely painting.

Great looking Chorus Line Lynnie!
(which wouldn't be the same without the sparkle) :-)
And isn't it looking superb framed!

Hehe Janet, I agree! I know it's glitzy but I only put in the snow! It is fun!
Hi Kim, no snow on the ground here but it's so darn cold tonight! My husband said we had flurries yesterday morn but I slept through it. We're 30 miles south of Richmond.
Hi Corinne, I have to go see your robin, I bet it's gorgeous! I agree, just a little works nice, not too much though.
Hey Babs LOL thanks so much! The snow part is sparkly where the tree lights reflect on it, cooool!!

oops, Janet I meant to say gimmicky instead of glitzy and I can't seem to type tonight! I'm only putting the sparkly stuff in the Christmas season paintings though LOL!
