Hungry Hungry Butterfly! ~ This evening we had a guest out on the back deck and it was the most beautiful and apparently hungry butterfly. I had just bought this container of petunias a couple of weeks ago because we needed something else colorful out there. Late this evening, this big fellow fluttered up to the flowers and almost half of him disappeared inside one of the blooms. I ran and got my camera and he was happy to oblige me with my picture taking while he fluttered from bloom to bloom. He just ignored me and my camera. He kept returning and gorged on lots of the blooms. I even ran inside and downloaded the photos I had and returned to get a few more. Finally, when the sun was going down, he fluttered over to me where I was sitting and was right over my head like he was saying 'goodbye' to me and flew over the house. I hope he returns again!

Lynette! When your blog page opened, I gasp! You are sharing an amazing story...and you have made a dear friend, it seems! You know, I think you need to collaborate with this kind, gentle creature! Look at the colors of these photographs! Do you see a painting there? Don't you think that is what your new friend wished to tell you? Is that why she stayed there so long and showed off for you?
Oh, I think there is a HUGE story here...I look forward to what you do with this!
Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful!
Thanks So Much, Lynette!
Hi Kim, wow thank you! I didn't see my hungry visitor today so I'm so glad I got these pictures yesterday. Yes, I would love to capture this in a painting and may even give it a try soon. I think I am going to print these pics out on my photo printer. Thanks Kim and I have to tell you that I love your latest interview on your blog with Suki, it's fascinating and awesome!
Great pics of the flowers and the visitor.
Gorgeous photos Lynnie!
I think your visitor hovered around thanking you for providing those flowers.
Oh yes,,,what a wonderful painting this would make,,,go for it!
Thanks Lynette! I can't wait to see what comes from this inspiration!
Hi Janet, thanks so much! I saw my little visitor over in the honeysuckle vine but he hasn't came back to the flowers again unless I miss him.
Babs, thanks so much, I may give it try but I'm not sure if I can catch those colors. It's tempting to try though!
Love the new paintings and the butterfly photos are fantastic!
Your gorging butterfly is GORGEOUS, as are your flowers. I am dazed.
