Two Abstract Paintings without titles ~ I've been working on both of these paintings this week, but it's been really, really, really slow-going. Ha, where are you muse? These are both acrylics on 8 x 10 inch stretched canvases. I'm thinking that the one on the bottom reminds me of a totem in a sandstorm. I may be able to at least finish these and give them a title soon...then again, maybe they are already finished and I just don't know it yet.

Hello Full Moon ~ I captured this shot in the front yard under the pine tree back when the moon was full and begging to have her picture taken. I love the time of day when the sky is clear and the setting sun is painting the sky with beautiful colors as a full moon is rising!

I like the first one very much! It doesn't matter (to me) whether it's going slow - it's better than "going bad" :)
Forgot - did I tell you I'm an artist too? Look me up sometime!
Helloo Jeannette and thank you for visiting my blog, I am going visit your art blog too. Ha, you are right, slow is better than 'bad' anyday. I guess I'll look at these some more and try and figure out what to do with them.
Oh, you sneaked this post in on me.
:-)
I think the top one definitely is finished for sure. It feels like some of the gorgeous fabrics from The Oscar 'Red Carpet Review'.
Satiny, silky and shiny,,,,and beautiful!
The other one is looking to me like something underwater,,,,hmmm, maybe a totem under water?
Hehe, I was sneaky tonight Babs. I just haven't had anything to post lately. Thanks for the nice words and yep I'll say that first one is finished now. I noticed the photo looks pretty bad in the second one though. It has a moire pattern and blurry too. That one is still a wip, I know it needs something for sure. I love your art dolls, they are awesome!
Hi lynette, I like the first one too, especially its soft tone. :)
Lovely work Lyn,
Hi Lynnie! I love the first one too, looks to me like luminous transparent eels at the bottom of the sea (do eels live in the sea? Who cares ;-)
Florence
I think the first one should contain 'Dance' in the title. It was what came to mind as I began to look at it.
Now Lynnie, the top painting looks like a new underwater start. Could it be?
The moon is always so pretty in all her stages. "I love the moon and the moon loves me".
Hi Fenny, thank so much for the nice words!
Thank you Genie!
Hey Flo, thank you and I love the new art you have in your blog with the animation and music, it's very fascinating!
Thanks Janet and I am looking at those 2 paintings tonight and trying to figure out out where they want to go.
Hi Katie Jane, I'm looking at both of them tonight and I seem to be in the aquatic mode lately. Now I'm seeing a fish turned sideways instead of a totem. I'm glad you're feeling better!
Both works-in-progress have that magical feel I've come to associate with your more representational art, Lynette. Enchantment is afoot.
And that moon is just too sweet.
Aww thank you San! I did work some more on that second painting and it's starting to look like another underwater scene so far.
