I sure learned a valuable lesson tonight: CALIBRATE YOUR MONITOR regularly! I found this link http://pages.prodigy.net/ecmorris/tips/monitor.htm in one of the threads in WetCanvas and after adjusting to the proper settings realized that ALL of the images I've been posting lately are very yucky looking. Black on my monitor looks a kind of dingy dark gray to everyone else. eek! Here's the same photo of my painting after calibrating my monitor correctly (I hope). Can you see a difference? Which means I have to redo every singe photo of my works and repost them, arrgh!

wow, what a difference. The colours are so much richer. WC is great isn't it.
As far as I know my pictures are looking the same on other browsers and friends computers, but I will keep my eye out now.

Thanks Alfreda, I was hoping there was a noticable difference. Slapping my forehead here, I remember my daughter 'fixing' the monitor a couple weeks ago so she could see it better. Not thinking anything about it, I thought all my pictures were way too dark, so I adjusted them (messed them up). I had no idea my monitor needed calibrating! I think from now on, I'm going to calibrate it first before posting any pics of my work to sell. I had no idea what a difference it could make. Yes WC is great!!
