TIE DOWN THE SUN ~ I painted these 4 ACEO size paintings in acrylics on Canson watercolor paper last weekend. I was happy with how a story seemed to flow out of these and decided to make prints of them and try selling as a set. The prints turned out wonderful and I am going to offer them on Artbyus and Ebay. I am still trying to decide if I want to sell the originals or just prints. It seems like I've sold almost all my original paintings over the last few years so I'm trying to keep some originals now.
A very talented artist and good friend Babs http://wilsonart-babs.blogspot.com/ was telling me about a sacred place in the mountains of Peru and the legend of the hitching post of the sun. http://sacredsites.com/americas/peru/machu_picchu.html
The legend and scenery are so magical and breathtaking and I would love to go there someday! I think we're going to take a ride down there in the balloon, if anyone would like to go with us, hop in! :D

So whimsical! Sign me up for the balloon ride!
You have a wonderful set! I say, keep the originals and sell the prints.
I love the colors and they seem very spontaneous and loose - keepers, I say!
As a set of four they look fantastic. Are you going to sell this as a poster or sell each image?
Im in love with the colors and the dreamy abstraction.
I have to ask, what are "ACEOs"?
Hi.. nice to found you.. you have very beautiful works here.. love it.. specially the trees.. love the trees.. all your art is amazing.. colorful.. i enjoyed it..
: )
M.O.I. Me, Babs and the balloon are heading up your way LOL!
Thanks so much Cyn, I still have the originals and I'm keeping them for now.
Hey J.B. I've got all 4 up for auction (together)right now, thanks so much!
Hi Rachel, sorry it took me so long to answer! They are any artwork in any medium but they have to be in exact size of 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches (either direction). They are called art cards and really popular with collectors. If you do a google search there will be a zillion sites come up probably!
Hi and thank you Lunara! You have a wonderful blog and I love your art! Thanks for visiting!
These are wonderful Lynette.
Another thought is a postcard multi-pack. I have seen them sell on etsy.
The image in the lower right reminds me that I have been seeing octopus art on the net lately.
BTW, if you turn your tree art upside down, they could be the beginnings of an octopus too.
Hope all is well.
