Blue Moon Night and Twining Tree ~ I just painted this one but I think I'm going to do more to it before I call it finished. I've painted several in the blue moon series and really enjoy doing them...plus the twist on lid on my phthalo blue cracked the other day so I need to used up that blue anyways! This one is 11 x 14 on a stretched canvas and done in acrylics.

Babs, that is wild that we were both painting moons hehe!! It another big pretty full one tonight too! Yep, I used that peal iridescent paint for the sparkles and moon. I was trying to paint something like a spider web but it didn't come off looking like it. LOL I probably mispelled that word, the other day I had to look on the tube to see. OK, just got my messy tube with the cracked top and it's "Phthalo" heck there's probably different ways to spell it anyways!

oops, I can't spell tonight LOL I meant to write 'pearl', not peal!

I think we need to just get laid back about this spelling thing,,,and decide it doesn't matter. Every man for himself on figuring out what was meant, instead of what was typed. LOL

We had the MOST awesome sunset here tonight,,,,,,deep magenta and orange,,,,now if I was really smart,,,I wouldn't be wondering this: How much impact, if any, would a full moon have on a sunset? I was asleep in that class, I'm almost sure!

LOLOL, heck I used to be good speller but have to guess on lots of words nowadays! That's a good question...I know the moon is reflecting the sunlight but don't know how it would affect the colors at sunset. It sounds like you had a GORGEOUS sunset this evening though! Woohoo, love those colors!!!

It almost looks like a twister -- tornado.

Put your paint in a ziplock bag.

Lynette,

This is really a great painting. Is the tree in your yard? I love moon paintings, so you and Babs are keeping me going here with them! Wonderful work!

You guys know I have a HUGE smile on my face about the spelling issue! Me? I can't spell anything...like your name, right? I always want to put that extra "N" in there.

Thanks for sharing, Lynette!

Such great stuff all over your page, Lynette! You know how much I LOVE moon pics, and all these are great. (Don't forget tonight's eclipse.)

Thank your hubby for sharing his car with us -- she's a real beauty! I'm a big fan of cars from the '50s and '60s. My last car was a '61 Ford Galaxie -- tons of chrome and fins out to there! I just got rid of it last year, and thinking about it still breaks my heart.
We called it "The Battlestar"!

I'm hoping the next one will be a black, '67 GTO. Ah, bliss!

Thanks Janet and you're right I was making my tree look like a twister in this one, don't know why though. I did put that tube of paint in 2 baggies but ugh, what a mess!
Hehe Kim, that's allright if you put an exra 'n' in my name and some people spell it that way. It's funny that I did look at the tree in the backyard right before I painted that tree but the tree in the yard isn't 'twisty' though.
Angela, wow, thanks for the nice words and hugs back at you!
Thanks W.J. and that eclipse was soo awesome tonight!! woohoo, a good looking guy I dated when I was young had a hot black GTO! Ahh, memories! OMG my husband has gone through so many cars and he used to own one of the Galaxies but his real love is the classic Plymouth Roadrunners.

Beautiful! I love the delicate lines of the tree and the circular patterns in the clouds. Enchanting!

Thanks so much Shayla and Corinne and I'm a huge fan of both you ladies, you're both so artistically talented!! I'm getting an urge to make another like this one and I still need to use that tube of busted blue in the baggie...good excuse to make this a series and do several like it LOL!
