FLU SEASON! ~ Yuck, both my husband, Rob and I have been soo clobbered by the flu this past week. I have to say it felt sort of like being run over by a mac truck for about two days! High fever, chills and I won't go into the rest of the gory details! We are both feeling sort of human now and I have really missed painting. I did paint this in acrylics but it's only the beginning of something and has a long way to go. I just noticed how washed out the photo is because I took it inside with a flash. It has been raining most of the day so I couldn't get a decent pic of it outside.

So good to see you feeling like painting again Lynnie!
Easy to see this will be another winner!
Welcome back!

Thanks Babs, I was kind of embarrassed to even post this one but I hope I can do something with it soon! I got my nose in a great book tonight hehe so I don't know if I want to do any painting or not. I'm feeling lots better though, thanks so much Babs!!

Cool WIP Lynnette! I love the way the roots are showing...will that stay, you think?

I am so glad to hear you are feeling better. For me the more difficult thing is just getting the work photographed and downloaded. Today should be a sunny day in our part of the country, so maybe a little sunshine will help put you right over the edge of feeling great! It is so hard when everyone is ill.

Sorry you've had the flu but Happy Birthday to you! Hope you painted a special picture or cake at least for yourself! You can lkely actually write on cakes artfully!

Interesting note:
I read somewhere that a piece of tissue taped over the flash will soften the light and give great results in photos.
I'll sure be trying that one out!
Let me know if anyone else does.

I hope you're feeling better! I've had a nasty cold the past week, and know just how you're feeling. Ick, ick ick - I can't wait for spring.

Glad to see you felt well enough to paint again.

Heeyy Kim, eek sorry I've been neglecting the blog this week but darn this flu is hard to get rid of! Feeling almost normal again though except for the cough that's trying to hang on.
Hi MOI, hehe I told my husband I didn't even want a cake this year but my daughter bought me a real pretty hummingbird copper windchime and I got some neat cards.
Babs, that sounds like a really good idea and I bet you could even tape a piece of white tissue over the flash. I may try that tonight. I'll let u know how it works.
Cyn, I'm sorry you've been sick too and I hope you're feeling better now. I'm looking forward to spring too!
Thanks Janet, whew I'm starting to feel human again but wow I sure wouldn't wish this flu on anyone. I may even try out a flu shot next year!
