Misty Blue Mountains ~ I recently did this little painting and it's 5 x 7 inches, acrylics on 140 lb. watercolor paper.

This morning it sounded like Santa had come early because we are having a new roof put on the house. I never realized how thick that stuff is up there and I cleaned up some of it off the steps at the back of the house. I didn't realize that the shingles were full of what looks like little gravel and fiberglass. It's a good thing I was wearing gloves most of the time! :o

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Awww thanks Babs! I guess I was thinking of the scenic view we saw on our trip to Ky. When the landscape goes that far out into the distance, everything seems to fade into that pretty misty blue. Thanks so much for the nice words!

First of all, Lynette, I love this painting. It is really quite dear and brings to mind so many lovely summer memories. You do work wonders with atmosphere.

Oh, you are a brave woman...but what else were you to do...to be there while they are replacing your roof! I honestly can't imagine the noise level. Hopefully they have gotten it all done in one go and your headache is gone!

You have a lovely weekend, too. I am sitting here in Panara bread working with the boys are on a day hike. I have to leave them off at one place and pick them up at another. Talk about women's expectations....LOL

Lynette - I think your work is getting better and better all the time! Love this one.

Roofing - I know that sounds well. At least it's only temporary.
