Hearts Abstracted ~ I've been inspired by the color red lately it seems. I just finished this one and it's 6 x 6 inches on a stretched canvas. I used a hodgepodge of things in this one, including tiny flakes of sparkly red metalflake auto paint collaged in with gel medium and gold interference and pearl iridescent acrylics for the ribbon. I have this one listed in my Etsy shop. Speaking of which, I helped my dear Mom-in-law set up her very own Etsy shop this week! She owned her own hairdressing business for many years, but since retiring she loves to make homemade items. I told her about Etsy, made her banner and helped her set up shop this week! She would love it if you could give her shop a heart! She is still learning the ropes and I'm helping her with the photos and the listings. Her shop is:
I hope everyone had a fun July 4th holiday with lots of good food and fireworks!

Lynette, this is really fabulous. I love your REDS and really love this one a lot! You have a lot going on here, but it is so well coordinated. And I love the idea of "Hearts Abstracted" (I actually thought it was a title).

And I am going to pop in on your MIL's shop and have a look/see. What a sweet DIL you are! But we all knew that! :)

Great Painting...and have a Wonderful Day!

Thanks Cyn and I was thinking of fairy wings when I painted that one! Thanks so much for hearting my MIL's shop, she is so excited about it!
Babs, thanks so much! I used the gold interference paint to do the ribbon and I think I want to try that again in another painting. Thanks for hearing MIL's shop too!
Janet, I looked it up and oohh that would be so awesome to meet up in Herndon with you! I've never done a plein air art show and I think it would be a great way to give an art career a boost and have a chance to meet up too! We're about 2 hrs. south and I saw it's near D.C., but a small rural town, which I like. How far from there are you?

Herndon is about 125 miles. It would be an overnighter given the events of the day/weekend.

Just been toying with the idea.
