Cresent Moon in a Winter Sky ~ I absolutely love my new digital Canon powershot camera and I can't believe what a difference there is my photos now! We had another of those little cresent moon jewels in the sky along with a fiery sunset. I've noticed the days are getting just a little bit longer each day, yea!

Another Lovely Sunset Evening

Big and Little ~ I was struck by the huge difference in the size of my paintings here. I have art card size, or ACEOs which are 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches on top of the chest in my painting room (on the easel). Now if I could just finish some of them! Behind the chest, hanging on the wall, is one I stretched and painted in my college painting class and it's 24 x 36 inches! Yep, it's an antique because I painted it over 25 years ago! I have several others stacked in my closet that same size and for some reason I never felt they were finished. Maybe a good New Year's resolution would be to finish those huge canvases.

That's a great moon shot you got with your new camera Lynnie,,,it has been gorgeous. It was 78 degrees here today, (WOW) but the cold front, clouds and wind are here now, so no moon tonight.
That would be really super to finish up those large paintings,,,but who am I to talk,,,I have many unfinished too!
Enjoyed seeing your space. I've cleaned & re-organized mine some,,but it's still a mess. (all those unfinished paintings, HAHA)

Babs, I tried uploading that picture of the painting room larger but it wouldn't enlarge, darnit. Can you see your pretty bookmark that you sent me? I have it on top of the mirror in there (under the little butterfly thing). I'm lovin' my new camera! Wow, 78 degrees?! that is really warm! Ha, maybe we can tackle those unfinished ones one of these days.

I love the sunset photo
gorgeous! May be you could divide the canvases up into little aceos and make aceo paintings all over them :)

A new camera, Woo-Hoo! The moon shot is great. I have unfinished canvases from college also. Now-a-days I always finish what I start... and have gessoed over a couple of the old college ones for new paintings.

Hi Genie, aww thank you!I've been feeling more motivated lately. I'm thinking it's because all the holiday hoopla is finally over.
Ha, Terri that big canvas would make a lot of ACEOs! I kind of think of it as an antique now.
Hey Chewy, LOL our old college canvases are good memories. I actually hammered in nails on the back of that big old thing and remember soaking the whole thing in water so it would shrink up. Now I wish I remembered how to stretch my own again. Even today, I have trouble finishing some of mine though. :(

Those photographs are simply stunning.

And that's a good New Year's resolution, to complete those larger paintings. I love what's going on in that one on the wall--all of that complex stuff with pattern and color. Very ambitious work, Lynette.

I have noticed the days getting a bit longer too. These dark winter days make me want to move closer to the equator.

Thanks so much San! I've got several that size stacked in the closet and every now and then I pull 'em to look again. Maybe I can do something with them one of these days.
Ha, Janet I'm with you on moving closer to the equator although I don't like the size of the bugs down there. :) It's been a rainy mess here.
