'Oh silvery sails, all tattered and torn
Answering the call of the siren...
Forlorn'

Song to the Siren ~ We had an art challenge in the abstract contemporary forum in the wetcanvas website this month and I finally got mine finished. For my intrepretation, I used acrylic paints, white gesso and black ink on 6 x 9 inches 140 lb. watercolor paper. Check out Babs awesome entry in her blog also! this was so much fun and very inspiring!

Hidden Man ~ Who is that little green man hiding under the pine tree among the red berry bushes? He's been snuggled down among the pine needles in our yard for about 5 years now and I think he is keeping the trolls out of our yard! I couldn't resist trying out my new camera on him today.

Aaah Lynnie,,,just look at what you did! That's the most wonderful magic ship I've ever seen! And who knew you were a poet!
APPLAUSE

Your Nandina berries are sure healthy,,,mine are dripping all over the bushes too. Beautiful!

I think that little guy in the bushes is Wireman,,,hiding from Edgar. Not to worry though, Roland is on his way!

Aww thank you so much Terri! Rob brought that little concrete fellow home several years ago and he's been guarding the front yard ever since...I've gotten pretty attached to him hehe!
(((Babs))), thanks so much and you're a true friend for sure...I had forgotten what the name of those bushes were. I brought those 2 little bushes home from my Mom's yard probably almost 10 years ago. They haven't grown much over the years but they sure have lots of the pretty berries every winter! I'm enjoying the adventures of Roland! :p

Hey! I love your painting, Lynette! I think it reminds me of the ghost ships in "Lord of the Rings". I love it. The little man does look as though he is waiting on someone to usher into your garden.

So much fun, Lynette!

Kim, I loved 'The Lord of the Rings' series so much. I've read those books twice and still have my set of paperbacks I first bought back in the '70s! Thanks for the wonderful compliment!

Love the glittery sails on your ghosty-y ship, Lynette. Really lovely!

Glad to see you out and about with your new Canon. Ah, the excitement of a new camera!

Lynnie, I just love your ship painting. I see Captain Jack there on the deck.

I saw that you got a Cannon powershot for Christmas. So did I. I love mine too. Great pictures of the little green man.

Thank you Katie Jane and I was just admiring those beautiful snowy photos in your blog. Santa was really good in bringing us our Cannon Powershots this year, I'm really loving mine too!

Thanks Wendy! I've been trying to get some good shots of the almost full moon but I keep getting the 'fuzzies' in my pictures. I did get one or two that looked decent though.
