Ooops, I should have mentioned, the barn above is a close-up
detail from the picture below. The pearl paint was reflective and shiny in the light
in this picture.

Spring in the Country ~ I built a country barn and planted a blooming tree in the landscape I posted in my last post. I also trimmed it down to 5 x 7 inches. Today I realized I needed a roof on the barn so I painted it in pearl irridescent acrylics.

The pollen here is so heavy that my green car had turned powdery yellow today! Yes, I'm still aaachooing with allergies too. I hope everyone has a fun and creative weekend!

Excellent!
I'm thinking I can vaguely see other outbuildings way back in the area surrounding the barn,,and maybe a rooster in the middle ground?? Lots to explore in this one.Of course your tree is outstanding, and I always adore your little wild flowers.

But in your precious pic you had a roof on the barn - only not lighted up LOL

This is nice, but I loved your REALLY big sky before. It still looks good. I like the barn.
Pollen is huge here as well. Everyone is suffering.

Haa Babs, you can tell I remember what those barns in Kentucky look like. I was kind of using them for a memory reference. Thanks so much!
Jeannette, I sure made it confusing as heck...Sorry, I just went and fixed my post because that little picture of the barn was just a detail shot of the larger picture below it. The pearl paints was reflecting and shiny in the detail shot. Thanks so much for the nice words!
Hii Katie and thank you so much. I think I'm going to do some sky studies, I've been looking at clouds and trying to study how to paint them. The pollen is awful this year!

This one takes me back to my childhood. A gentle, lilting place you've painted, Lynette. And that pearlescent barn roof is just the right dreamy touch.
