Catching the Light ~ This is 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches acrylics on watercolor paper.

I did this little painting from a photo I took last weekend at the New River Gorge.

The second painting is well-caught - looks like much fun. And the first one is so dreamy - I love it, Lynette - a beautiful small treasure!

Both are great! I like the second one. So life-like and captures the mood so well.

Looks like you are on a role painting up a storm!

That is an awesome white water rafting painting Lynn,,,the reflections and movement are so 'right on'. The atmosphere really puts you in the moment.
Of course your trees always hit the right spot with me.

Thanks so much Jeannette!
Fenny, thank you so much for the wonderful words!
Shana, I'll check out your site, thanks for the info.
Katie, Cyn, Babs, Janet, wooo thanks a million for the nice words! Cyn, just going somewhere new and seeing the countryside really inspired me. Janet, I think you're right, maybe I am going in a new direction, much needed too. Babs, the white water rafting looked so exciting! I got lots of pics of the boats going down the calm part of the New River.

Your rafting painting brings back memories of my experience on the Rio Grande last summer. Such fun! I love your take. It's dreamlike. Such moments feel that way, don't you think?

And that little 'Catching the Light' is like a dream too. A very sweet one.

Hi Lynette,

Good work on this one, namely the colours and textures.
Quite realistic and yet painterly.

Kind regards,

José
