'Let's Go Play on the Tire swing!' ~ Babs, I was influenced by your wonderful 'inner child' series of clay sculptures and reading about your memories of playing in the woods with your friends as a child...Here's my page for your book and I hope your inner child is gonna like it! :)

'Daydreaming' ~ Here's my page for your book Lynn. I did a lot of cutting with my old exacto knife and did some collaging and painting. I even put a little piece of silver ribbon for a window curtain. I hope you'll like it, this has been a fun project!
Girlfriend's Traveling Sketchbooks ~ I got a progress picture of the books today.

OK Girlfriends! ~ You can tell what I've been working on this weekend and they are getting ready to travel again! I'm getting all 3 books in the mail tomorrow and off they go to Karen! I had already gotten Soulbrush's page done and this weekend I got Lynn's and Bab's pages done. All 3 books are looking fantastic so far and I couldn't resist stretching them all out to get a picture of the books in progress! I hope you all had a fun and safe 4th of July! I didn't do much here, but I did get to see some fireworks through the trees. Tomorrow, we are going to have major fun though...we are planning on going to the Virginia Beach aquarium and marine science center! I hope to get lots and lots of pictures to share!

I love all the pages you have done, and mine is terrific. So appropiate to have the dark cat looking out the window as our Henry V does nightly! Love the touch of cloth to it as well. Thank you for my page and the artistic energy you put into making it for me.
And yes, it is fun to see the progress of the books.

Oh Lynn!! This page for Babs' book is outstanding! I also loved tree swings and this makes me want to jump on!

Lynn's book looks interesting, too. And thanks for doing the "spread". I will put them up right after dinner. Good job!!

I feel partial about the wonderful tire swing painting, because my daughter once had a dream when she didn't have children yet, about living in a house with a white picket fence and a boy about 11 y. old swinging on a tire hung on a tree. She told me, "mom, I just know that that was my son." Now, many years later she has 3 girls and one son!!

Your first painting "Let's GoPlay on the Tire Swing" has a magically haunting nostalgic effect. It's like a hazy memory of childhood that appears when one is about to drift off to sleep. Love the colour and softness. Beautiful!

The traveling sketchbook is such a terrific idea! I participated in something similar years ago and really enjoyed the process.
