CORNHOLE BOARD PROJECT ~ My daughter and her boyfriend asked if I could paint some wooden cornhole game boards with an abstracted design. Of course I said "sure, bring them over". Ha, I had no idea they were each 4 ft. tall and 2 ft. wide and very heavy too! I've been working on these for over a week and now both of these are done and they can varnish them and then throw beanbags into the holes. I was happy with the way these turned out since I don't think I've ever painted anything this big before! I think I may have to learn how to play 'cornhole' now lol!

Another small abstracty Lynxie Tree, this is number 61 in the series in aceo size. I'm not sure how many of these I will end up painting.

Lynnie, these are FANTASTIC!! I have never seen any cornhole boards this striking. What a corner on the market you could have here. I think they would lend a good challenge to the game with thier wild designs. Wonderful work!

Thanks so much Kate! My sister also said I should paint and sell these things, but I don't know where you would buy the wooden frames. My daughter's boyfriend's dad made the wood boards and they are really big and heavy! I may do some checking into that. They were a challenge to paint but I liked how they turned out.

I agree with some of your commentators that you did an excellent job on the cornhole boards -and maybe there's a way to make money with this -don't give up to soon!

(I don't know what happened - at my blogroll I didn't see posts of you until now -guess I have to check your blog!)

Lynn the boards are beautiful. What an undertaking! I agree... Paint and sell. Beautiful. And, they look like they were a lot of fun to paint.

Omigosh, just look what Lynnie's been doing! What fabulously fun paintings, and the best part is they have your signature style.
I've never heard of that game,,but I'm sure whatever it is,,,these boards have to make it even better!

Jeannette, Nancy, Babs and Janet, thanks soo very much for the nice words!! That project just about wore me out and I took a break from painting after that project was finished, whew!.

I wasn't familiar with this game, but if I had a gameboard as beautiful and fanciful as these, I would be inspired to give it my best shot!
