CHRISTMAS TREES IN APRIL!?? ~ 'Trees of Eight' Ha, you're probably asking why someone would paint what appears to be Christmas trees in the middle of April...I wish I knew the answer to that, but in any case these really aren't trees decorated for the Holidays. I was just trying to get the effect of eight trees all lit up and sparkling on top of a high ridge. This is acrylics on 6 x 6 stretched canvas and all I have left to do is put on a layer of Liquitex heavy gloss medium and then varnish it. Cynthia this is my first finished painting on the canvases I bought from you. Thank You!

Looks awesome Lynette!!!! I'm so glad to see these being put to good use.
I wouldn't have even linked Christmas trees with the painting if you hadn't said something. I would have recognized the "sparkle" anywhere.
I dont know that I would have thought Christmas either, tho it definitely looks like trees with lights. I guess lights on trees are no longer confined to Christmas.
Think you will easily transition from the small ACEO's to larger sizes.
I see now where your inspiration for all the "dots" come from now on the previous post.
I wasn't really thinking christmas, and oh gosh I wasn't the only one thinking that.
hum! you presumed wrong Lyn LOL! Love the colours and sense of a sparkly night.
I think this would be neat as a Christmas card!
Would know your work anywhere, Lynnie! Another unique and beautiful work,,,love it!
Thanks Cyn, I absolutely love those little canvases and I have a 2nd painting in progress on one!
Thanks Janet, I see trees lit up but they're usually just white lights if it's not during Christmas, but I like lit up trees anyways LOL!
Thank You JB and I guess I was worried that this was screaming "arrgh you're out of season there!"
Hi and thank you M.O.I., I'm liking that idea. I've been thinking of buying a little printer that I could print cards on.
Helloo and thank you Babs!! I'm feeling the urge to paint something and TGIF!!!
Babs, a special thanks to you!! I'm going in to do a little tweaking on this one right now, then do that varnishing and I can call it done! :D
