Dragonfly Dreams ~ I been painting on and off with this one the last few days and got it finished tonight. It's 5 x 7 inches, acrylics on watercolor paper. Check out Bab's Off the Wall blog, she has a dragonfly painting posted too and it's so gorgeous!

You dragonfly girls! :)

Your paintings are so different even with the same theme! I love them both so much, too. They are both reflective of each of your styles...so how wonderful is that?

The colors are great fun...and that dragonfly sure looks like it is enjoying the warm day which is slipping into evening.

Thanks Lynette

The Dragonfly and the heart (you did mean to put a heart behind him, right?) It is a lovely painting but I love how you did the dragonfly.

Love your dragonfly. Came here from Babs' blog. Course, trying to create a dragonfly image for my Dragonfly pond farm sign. Love your colors too. Be well, Suki

Gorgeous! I like the motion effect you've created. A whirlwind heart.

There are dragonflies in my yard. It's the season for dragonflies.

Oh, I think I shall write a dragonfly haiku next week.

Neat! Something magical about dragonflies. I bet you could do a neat one with fireflies too!

Hi Chewy and thanks so much! We have lots of dragonflies zooming around the backyard, they are so fascinating to watch. They seem to have a kind of magic. I can't wait to read your dragonfly haiku next week!
Hi MOI and thanks so much! I do love to paint fireflies too, they have that magical quality like dragonflies...ah some of those wonderful creatures to see only in summer...too bad the awful heat had to come with it though LOL. I sure enjoyed reading about your 'sister-fest' in your blog!

It is like a heart hole instead of a black hole in the sky. Wonder where it leads to?

So ethereal, Lynette. Your watercolor makes me want to lift off the ground, ever so gently, and take flight.
