Icy Spirit Awakens ~ This is 5x7 inches, acrylics on watercolor paper. I used some gold interference and some glitter dust for a sparkly spot under the moon.

Metamorphosis ~ This little 6x6 inch stretched canvas has gone though so many changes, I now have the perfect title for it. I gessoed over one I didn't like, painted another, and then painted another over that one...then changed it yet again! Well this is the final version and there's about 3 paintings underneath this one. :p
Which reminds me, one of my all-time favorite short stories is 'The Metamorphosis' by author Franz Kafka. Very eerie and a great read!

A slam dunk winner Lynnie,,,I adore it!

And those gorgeous shadows in the tree painting,,you really have this style 'down'!
Love them both!

Lynnette - I'm such a fan of your abstracts! Icy Spirit seems like the perfect prelude to winter...

Metamorphosis by Kafka is one of my favorites too. I should pull it out this winter break.

Love your moons, Lynette!

These are both great, and I like the idea of some art historian -- 200 years from now -- x-raying your little painting and seeing all the other images beneath.

Oh, and as for Kafka -- I like my men with a pinch of insanity mixed in, but I hate when they turn into cockroaches!

Your Icy Spirit Awakens reminds me of the winter sky last night--the moon accompanied by Venus and Jupiter.

And your other painting morphed beautifully. Great circling energy.
