Christmas Eve Photo Op ~ I hope everyone had a Wonderful Holiday! I had to put the old camera on top of the TV and set the self-timer to get this picture of us after Santa's visit. It turned out sort of glarry but Santa brought me a new camera (yea!) which I tested out on Puddin' in the picture below.

Puddin' said, "Hey, I know I'm not supposed to sit on the kitchen table but I get such a good view of the bird feeders when it's raining outside!" I'm still trying to figure out the complicated directions on the new camera... instead of 'partridges in a pear tree', I can see about 25 doves roosting in the poplar tree in this picture. I think I'm going to love the new camera when I figure out how to use it!

Hi Lynette,

Heck ! I got a cat too and we know that they don't obey us, they just do us a favour :-)

Wish you and your family a prosperous 2009

José

Thanks for sharing your Christmas picture, it is lovely to see your family.
Your cat looks so cudly, does she make those funny little chirpy noises when watching the birds at the feeder?
I hope your new camera isn't too complicated, I like those "point and press" types, but maybe you can get better quality pics with a more sophisticated model, good luck with it, we are looking forward to seeing your photo's.
Love Dianne x x

Merry Christmas, Lynette!

You guys look so comfy and cosy in front of the tree -- thanks for letting us have a peek.

Hi Jose' hehe you are so right about cats. They do what they want and when they want to do it. My cat cannot stand any door closed and her favorite thing is to run in and out the door. :) I hope you and your family have a wonderful New Year too!
Hi Dianne, LOL I know the sounds you are talking about and it's soo funny. The cat's jaw sort of chatters and they chirp when they see a bird through the window. Ha, I'm still reading the camera instruction booklet.
Aww thanks Wendy. I'm looking forward to trying out the camera again real soon!
Hi Janet, I had to set the bird feeders out in the open where Puddin' couldn't sneak up on 'em.
Terri, she usually sets outside on the deck to look at the birds but it was drizzling rain that day. It aggravates my husband so much when she sits on the table. I finally gave up and just wash the table a lot. :p

Yay for Santa bringing you a new camera. I wish they would invent one where I could just sort of download the manual into my brain. And Puddin' isn't doing any harm - "just looking Mum, honest!"

Thank you Kim and I hope you had a wonderful New Years too. I am still learning the ropes of that new camera but ohhh what good pictures it takes compared to my old one!
Hi Fenny thank you so very much and I'm glad the new year is here!
Cath, LOL now that is a great idea and I wish I could dl that camera booklet into my brain too. I read it once and already forgot lots of what I learned.
Hehe Babs, Puddin pretty much does what she wants to do, that's for sure!
MOI, I hope you can still check in every now and then and your Friday poetry blog posts are so awesome!

That photo of Pudding is so sharp and brilliant. What a precious gift is that new camera.

And your family picture is so sweet. The love is visible, even with the old camera.

Puddin' not Pudding. I sound so officious. My word verification is, get this, ANIAL. That fits, for someone who calls a cat Pudding.

Thanks so much San! LOL, I know those word verifications are hilarious sometimes eek, anial, now that's a bad one LOL!
