Untitled so far ~ This painting is acrylics on an 8 x 10 inch stretched canvas. I don't know where in the world I'm going with this one yet but I can see a big window with lots of glass panes. Do you ever feel like you have to paint something and just grab a blank canvas late at night and start painting something... anything at all? That's how this one started and I'm not sure where to go with it yet, lots more studying and looking at it might do the trick though.

I see an arched stained glass window in it, if this would be my pic, but it is yours, so go with your gut feeling:)I love the colors of it-right up my alley!
Yes, I have that too, staying up tooo laaaate, because I fear that if I don't do it now, it'll be gone tomorrow!

Oh, I didn't know your treehouse there had stained glass windows, Lynnie!
That's what it says to me too,,,,and in a very BIG way. Beautiful light!
That irresistible urge hit me this morning,,,unusual for me, it's almost always at night.I was working late last night, but on a wonky clay piece that I'll have to get brave to post. (if it works out)

Oh, definately, I see a stained glass window. I'm thinking you don't need to do anything else with it. I love it just the way it is. Looks like a window lit up inside, and we are viewing it from outside. It leaves a lot of room for the viewer's interpretation. I like that.
Unfortunately, I don't ever feel that urge. Art, for me, is usually pre-thought and pre-planned and carefully constructed. Maybe I need to work on more spontaneous stuff.

It kind of reminds me of cars entering a tunnel on a wet rainy night in a busy metropolis.

Thanks Jeannette, I know what you mean about the muse visiting late at night sometimes.
Hi Genie and thanks so much!
Babs, hehe I wish I had a big stained glass window in my treehouse, need to install that one! I can't wait to see your new clay piece and I'm heading to your blog.
Hi Katie, I swear it's weird but sometimes I found out the faster and more spontaneous I paint something, the better it turns out, although I'm not sure why! Seems like it should be the other way around.
Hi Janet, that is a neat interpretation, thanks so much!

Wow - cool, Lynette - when I first saw this, I thought of an abstracted trilobite. :)

This is wonderful Lynnie, I see a church window :-) You don't have to do anything with it if you're not sure, it looks great as it is.

Thanks Cynthia! I confess I had to look in wikipedia to find out what a trilobite is they remind me of the old fossil rocks we used to find in the creek, neat!
Hii Flo, I was thinking about you the other day, haven't seen or heard from you in a while, I hope that everything is going well. I know they were keeping you busy at work. Thanks for the nice words, I may just leave that one alone and start on a new painting...going over to check out your blog now and see what you've been up to! Thanks!
