Cherry Tree and the Traveling Sketchbook Project ~This is a 6 x 6 inch painting in acrylics on a stretched canvas and ugh that glare, I just noticed it but at least the colors look ok, better than the first pictures I tried to get of this one.
Check outKate's Corner and her awsome idea for the traveling sketchbook! I hope I did this right, since this is a new kind of project for me... here's my first page, acrylics, glitter dust, and butterfly stickers on semi-translucent yupo paper, that I mailed to Karen who writes the blogBeelieveand she's the person who is on my list! This is going to be fun!
Lynnie, this is beautiful, but then everything you do is beautiful! This book of yours is going to be amazing! Love this cherry tree. It looks a little different from your usual work and I like it.
Aww Kate, thank you so much! I read your blog tutorial several times and I hope I'm doing the sketchbook project right. I mailed that first page but that's all I've done so far. I had fun painting that cherry tree!
Oh, I'm falling behind,,,,YOURS looks super Lynnie,,different, but still YOU! I am running,,,,and I'll catch up,,I'm sure of it! But meanwhile,,,,I'm loving seeing yours,,,,beautiful!
Hi Karen, aw thanks so much! The pages are flying through the mail now lol and I just heard that I'll be recieving Cathie's page soon, which I'll add on to and get in the mail to you next week, fun fun! :)
Lynette, forgive me for not getting here sooner but I have surfaced to this project. I believe I warned Kate that things would not take off until after kindergarten graduation. So...your pages are beautiful and I have no clue what I am doing either but think it will be a fantastic book. I am loving what I am seeing all around and enjoying your blog! (now back to some art and away from the computer for a bit!)
Hello and thanks for visiting! I've been painting and drawing for many years. I graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and I've always enjoyed creating art! I'm fascinated with trees, growing up in Kentucky and living in Virginia for over 20 years! I love the outdoors and enjoy painting it!
