A new page for Soulbrush's book ~ There are pages and creativity flying through the mail, thanks to the Girlfriend's Traveling Sketchbook project started by Kate of Kate's Corner. I got mail from Cathie yesterday and I recieved books from Joss (Soulbrush), Lynn, and Babs. I was chewing my nails, wondering which one to start on first and how to make the pages, then I though...OK, calm down (ha no stress here) and just work on them in the order that they are on the mailing list...so I studied Joss's book and it's full of wonderful bright color and designs and I knew I had to use some vibrant colors and do something fun. Soo, I ended up painting a crescent moon and stars and painted a red border all around. I hope she is going to like it, her book is looking great, and so are the others! I'm inspired to start on Lynn and Babs books now, what a fun project this has been!!

This is something I've been fiddling with and it's 8 x 10 inches, acrylics on a stretched canvas. I sort of laid it aside for a few days to see if I want to call it finished, or work on it some more. I picked a bouquet of photos out in the yard (photos below) to share with y'all! My camera has been busy the last few days. Babs, lookee at my oreo seed plants, they're growing great so far!!

The flowers are beautiful.

The twirly sun painting is really interesting. Did you use alot of glaze?

Your flowers are gorgeous and so is that new piece you are working on. Soulbrush's page is terrific and I know she is going to love it.
I didn't realize you were swamped with so many books! Don't panic, just work at your pace and ideas will come.

Hi Janet and thanks...I'm sure enjoying the flowers this year. This is one of those rare summers here where we've had enough rain and the temps haven't been as hot as usual yet. No, I didn't use glaze in that painting. I forgot to mention though that I used black ink to make the swirlys around the sun.
Haa Kate, I did get a little panicky at first till I came up with a plan. Now I'm just having fun with it and looking forward to doing Lynn's and Bab's pages. I hope Soulbrush will like her page.

Lovely work. Everyone is doing so great with the Traveling pages. We have been trying to find the name of that plant you have. The one just above the Galds. with the orangish flowers in peeks or points. What is its name?

Hii Angela, it's great to hear from you and thanks so much! I've got to visit your blog and see what you've been up to here lately!
Thanks Chris, the traveling sketchbooks is turning out to be soo fun! Your question about those flowers had me googling today. I knew the seeds originally came from my grandma's house many years ago. I found out they are called Asiatic Tiger Lilies. They spread every year and get soo tall! Got 2 of them in bloom now.
Heyy Joss, thanks and woo I am so happy that you like your page I made for your book, that's so awesome!! Hehe, I'm always making typos, I get to typing to fast and you can't edit the posts here in blogger. I would LOVE to trade some aceo/atcs with you. I'm still trying to figure out how to do it. I have all my aceo's in my Etsy shop. Is there any way you could pick some out, (1,2 or 3 would be great) and send me an e-mail at Lynxes123@yahoo.com. Here's my Etsy shop and the aceos (I hope this link is gonna work, I'm such a tech dummy):
