Itty bitty tree... This is a tiny painting I did in acrylics on 140 lb. watercolor paper and it's only 3 x 3 1/2 inches. I accidentally cut the bottom off of this or it would have been a little big bigger by 1/4 inch. I had fun doing this one because I love painting trees!
Thanks Alfreda! Believe it or not the detail is sort of an illusion in this (except for the tire swing and tree trunk). I used my small cheap acrylics brush which is frayed into lots of points to dab in the paint and make lots of leaves at a time. :)Hope youall are having a Great Memorial Day!
Hello and thanks for visiting! I've been painting and drawing for many years. I graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and I've always enjoyed creating art! I'm fascinated with trees, growing up in Kentucky and living in Virginia for over 20 years! I love the outdoors and enjoy painting it!

This magical!!!
Really pretty, Lynette! You've created a tiny, fairytale tree. I can't imagine painting so much detail into something so tiny. Amazing!
Wow thanks so much Terri and W.J.! The secret is my small cheap acrylics brush which is so frazzled and frayed it's easy to make all the detail. :)
What a lovely little painting. I feel like I want to be be sitting under it. I have to agree with w.j. the detail is really something.
