Blue Ribbon Night ~ A digital abstract for tonight and a tribute to my hubby. He races those wild fast drag cars and won 2nd place tonight in the Ford event at Virginia Motorsports Park. It was a national race with people traveling from out of state and a pretty big event. http://www.virginiamotorsportspk.com/FUNFORD.html Woohoo pretty nice prize $ too!

All I can say is WOW. It's always so exciting to sign on and see new work, I'm often blown away!

Congrats to your hubby for placing! Prize money is good too.

Lynette! You already know what I'm gonna say about this pic!

Gimme, gimme, gimme!!! It's magical! It's dreamy! The MOON!!!

Yay on 2nd place! The friend who taught me to drive was a race car driver. Needless to say, I learned caution first, then speed! And, I never take my eyes off the road!

LOL thanks W.J. hey I'm a lunar freak for some reason I always feel drawn to painting the magical moon. My hubby didn't place in the races yesterday, he said his car spun out eek! Race car drivers sure know how to drive as long as they keep the speeding part on the track! :O

Yikes...spinning out would scare the (trying to think of and appropriate word) out of me. Sorry to hear he didn't place. Although it's probably a bit like being an artist. One does it for the love of it!

Yep Cynthia that is true so true. I'm glad I didn't see him do the spin out it would have scared the #$% out of me for sure!

Thanks Terri! Woo I went to Michaels and got some more paints and canvas this evening after work. I'm looking forward to doing some painting this weekend. OMG the price of some of the paint brushes are soo high but I got a tiny fine point brush and even 4 stretcher bars. I am going to try stretching my own small canvas. I remember stretching canvas back in college which was quite a few years ago. TGIF!!
