Little Red Abstract ~ I did this one several weeks ago but I just wasn't sure if it was finished or not. It's a little 4 x 4 inches and acrylics on 140 lb. watercolor paper. Sometimes you just have to go on to the next painting!
I love the colours and feel like there is a conversation going on in there and I feel left out. Odd reaction but that is how I feel when I lookat it. kind of mysterious little piece.
Oh, Lynetyte, this is SO finished! It's gorgeous -- and gorgeously RED! How do you display a piece like this? Actually put it in a tiny, little frame or something else?
arrgh I had a long comment typed out and blogger went on the fritz and I lost it. Thanks so much Terri, Alfreda, Cynthia, and W.J. for your so nice comments. I really wasn't sure about this one but I guess it's not as bad as I thought. There's another painting partially under this one. LOL Alfreda it does look like a bunch of red somethings gossiping to each other, don't know why though. W.J. you can frame these minis or have them matted and framed. I just sold my bugstract 4x4 through ABU to a wc member, woohooo!
W.J. they do look like they're dancing or gossiping or something LOL! :) Thanks for the congrats I was having a long dry spell for a while at selling but ever since I made a new blog with my ABU auctions to link to my regular blog and put my abu links in all the photos in my flickr I have definitely noticed an increase in views and bids, woohoo!! I am going to do some painting this weekend!
Love those red shapes, I see seahorses! Lynette, never trust your own feeling about your paintings, just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's bad =D
Good news about your ABU auctions, hope you get lots more bids!
Hi Flo! Thanks so much and yes you're right about that. I was so happy to get some bids finally in ABU it had been a dry spell and I was getting sort of discouraged but things seem to be picking up in ABU! Yeaa!
Hello and thanks for visiting! I've been painting and drawing for many years. I graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and I've always enjoyed creating art! I'm fascinated with trees, growing up in Kentucky and living in Virginia for over 20 years! I love the outdoors and enjoy painting it!

You have been busy. I really enjoy looking at your paintings! Do you digi paintings influence your acrylic ones? Or vice versa?

I could NEVER do such a tiny piece!

Congrats on your ABU sale, Lynette! That's great!
I came back for another look at this one, and I think they're red go-go dancers! Still love it!
