Treasure in my Mailbox ~ Terri West sent me this absolutely gorgeous print of her 'Vesper Sunflowers' painting and I LOVE it! Thank you Terri and I can't wait to frame this lovely print, it's a treasure of beautiful warm colors and flowers!

My Spring Trees all finished, now to start on summer.

I was trying out the macro feature on the camera and captured this cheerful little face of a 'johnny jump-up this evening. They'll be popping up all over the yard and I'll be out there digging them up and replanting them before the 'lawnmower' man mows them down! :)

the trees you painted are so delightful! (I could see them printed on giftboxes, wrapping paper, etc.)
How thoughtful of your friend to send you the print - which has a similar color choice as your autumn painting!

That's a very cheerful sunflower print. Should fill you with smiles most any day. Your macro lens did a wonderful job on that johnny jump up. He's so pretty. I'm really liking your tree montage.

Hi Genie, thanks so much, I love the sunflower print that Terri sent me!
Thanks Jeannette, I'm working on the summer season tree now. I'm going to get a frame for those lovely sunflowers.
Hey Janet, me too and they just start popping up in the yard. I planted those seeds years ago.
Thanks Katie Jane! Those sunflowers have such warm colors, they are cheerful. Thanks for the nice words!

Love all the color in the root area of your spring trees,,,and of course their ribbons add such a 'celebration' feel to them.

I don't know that we have those johnnys here, but they are sure pretty.
(lol at mowerman)
Sunflowers,,,one of my most favorite,,,and these are nice!

Thanks Babs hehe the lawnmower man would be my husband who would mow down anything that gets in his path! :p I've only seen one of those little flowers pop up so far, so I haven't had to rescue any yet. I think they're called by a bunch of different names and one of them is wild pansy. Thanks for the nice words, I'm working on some summer tree paintings now.

What fun! I haven't seen a Johnny-Jump-Up in more years than I can say. I love pansies, in general, and it's always exciting to spot these little gems after a hard winter.

Wow, Lynette, you've gone great guns on your lovely trees! Very impressive -- and a good reminder for me to stop blog surfing and get back to work. :-)

Love those nice, heavy sunflower heads. Gorgeous!

lovely sunflowers indeed!
They are known as "johnny jump-up"! We have a totally different name in Chinese here, in direct translation will mean "tri-colour flower". I bought a small pot of it few months ago for my younger one but it died few weeks afterwards. Not sure due to the weather and lack of sunshine.... You have got nice ones, now I'm tempted to buy another pot of it and try again!

Hi Wendy, thanks so much for the nice words on my trees! I bought a package of seeds of those little flowers years ago and they still pop up in unexpected places.
Hi Fenny, thank so much! I know those little flowers like plenty of sun, I hope you can try them again and that they'll be OK.

Love your wispy trees--as delicate as spring itself.

And congratulations on that happy Sunflower print.
