Undersee Symphony ~ I finally finished this one and it's acrylics on a 8 x 10 inch stretched canvas. I scrubbed off/redone/backtracked in so many places, it's a wonder there's any paint left on this one. I was happy with the way it turned out though. I've been on a fish and undersea theme lately and I plan on trying some more under the 'see' ones. I may be influenced by all the rain we're having here in Virginia...4 straight days of it. On the bright side, everything is greening up really nicely! I hope everyone is having a great weekend! I got the background for my two spring tree paintings done, now I just need to paint in the trees.

Great title for a great painting! So much movement,,,you've really got these fish down! Nice depth too!
They sure remind me of the Koi and fantail and angelfish we used to have.
Super job, Lyn!
Oh, and I LOVE the sidebar pic. of Grumpy,,,,uh, I mean Puddin!
She's so pretty, but like ours, plenty of attitude!
I love underwater scenes - in one of my earliest posts (last year) I did an underwater scene in watercolor, called "Deep Sea Mystery." Maybe you'ld like to visit it sometime :)
Aww thanks so much Babs, I sure had fun painting this one. Ha, that picture of Puddin' really cracks me up. I was taking pictures of fruit on the table and didn't notice she was giving me the 'evil eye' till I looked at the pic later. She just didn't like me ignoring her but most of all she didn't like the clicking of the camera pointed towards her. She's a mess hehe!
Hi Jeannette, I would love to see your 'Deep Sea Mystery' and will go and visit your blog now. Thanks so much!
Jeannette, it may just be my computer or blogger acting buggy, but I can't get to your blog when I click on your link. I'm going to try again though.
Such an ethereal feel to this piece.
Hi Janet and thanks so much for the nice words!
Jeannette, I did get your link to work that time and I have your link in my sidebar now, thanks.
Lynette, I see you got to my blog, because you made a comment about my paintings-in-process - thanks. Don't forget to visit again to see the "Deep Sea Mystery" last year. Maybe I have to change the # of posts on one page, for it to move faster - thanks for letting me know!
this is a lovely painting!
Jeannette, I am going to see if I can find your undersea painting. Thanks!
Hii Nina, thanks so very very much!! :)
I see those stringed instruments as fantastical harps. I wonder what they sound like underwater. Everything flows and sways.
Thanks Chewy! I thought of that shape as a harp too, although I didn't know what it would turn out to be when I first started painting it! Now I'm trying to picture what kind of sound it would make underwater, hehe!
Enchanting scene!. Very nicely done Lynette !
