Cherry Blossoms and Pearls ~ I did finally finish the 3 ACEOs and I listed this one in Ebay tonight. The other 2 photos were blurry so I'm retaking them tomorrow. I may list one of these in Etsy too.
Hot Ice and Spice ~ I know, what a weird title! I couldn't think of a good title for this so I guess I'll stick with it unless I can think of something better. I was getting tired of painting pink trees and just grabbed this piece of 7 x 9 inch, 140 lb. watercolor paper and painted this one fairly fast last night. You'll probably laugh when I tell how I made the outlines of the 'ice cubes'. I took the top off of an old tube of lipstick and dipped it in paint to stamp them on. Then today I made a wash of the pearl iridescent paint and painted the inside of the cubes! Fun, fun!

Lynette! Are you really tired of pink trees? I bet they are good sellers for you, though! I like the pearls on this one!
Now I really like your fire and ice...I know it is hot spice, not fire, right?... You probably know I love the tension in this one! What a great idea to use the lipstick tube to do the ice...then adding the pearl wash. It works quite well! I like it when you just cut loose, too.

Thanks Kim, I guess I am getting a little tired of the pink trees LOL and painting something with a more 'dark' feeling now.

Lynette, this makes me smile cause I know these sort of attacks, when you get tired painting something and just run wild with colours!
Both are great, the pink tree with its elaborate details and great contrasting colours and the quick, nervous, fire-glazing paint with lipstickcover print:)
