Country Dreams ~ I've been painting tiny barns again. These are each in acrylics on watercolor paper and 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches. It's fun to remember how the countryside looks where I grew up in Kentucky...the silver roofs shining in the sun and the lush greenery, crops and flowers! Maybe I should have put some teeny cows in there. I hope everyone is having a great Monday, it's been stormy here all day but everything is looking lush and green with the rain.

Oh, little art card size. Kentucky makes me think of horses... teeny race horses. (giggle)

whoa, how can you manage that on such tiny paper?

Katie, I grew up in Louisville and Bowling Green! Most of my Dad's family is out there and we have a big family reunion this summer! I miss it out there lots!
Hehe Chewy, hey I may try painting some teeny tiny horses next time, that's a good idea but woo don't know how they would turn out! I'm thinking cows would be easier at that size.
Hi Jeannette, I get out my handy box of toothpicks for painting in the tiny dots and details and use really small brushes.

Hello Sweet Tree Lady! I think your barns are cool, too, but to me you will always be the tree lady. These are really lovely and are perfect for the season. You do have a special way with this style, Lynette! It seems to be your signature...and I love it!

I love the crops in the fields,,,and all the wildflowers.
Best of all I love the trees,,,,and your sky holes are FABULOUS!
Did you watch the Kentucky Derby Lynn? It was SO exciting this year. I'd almost forgotten to turn it on,,,,and I'd sure have hated not seeing this one.
Teeny race horses on a track,,,,bet you could do it too!

Louisville is not that far away from me. In fact, I was just suggesting to my DH that we go there for Memorial Day Weekend. I hear they have a Bluegrass Luncheon Riverboat Cruise on the Belle of Louisville. I'll let you know if we go.
